Prohibited & Restricted Items and Services Policy

Sellers must offer only products and services that are legal to sell and provide where the seller operates and where the customer is. If something is illegal, it is prohibited on Mechji even if it is not listed below. The lists below are examples, not a complete list.

• Weapons, ammunition, explosives, fireworks and their parts.
• Narcotics, controlled substances, and products presented as legal alternatives to them.
• Counterfeit, pirated or replica goods, and goods that infringe intellectual property.
• Stolen goods, or goods whose ownership the seller cannot show.
• Hazardous materials, including toxic, flammable or radioactive substances not intended for consumer sale.
• Human body parts, and products from endangered or protected animals and plants.
• Government-issued identity documents, official uniforms and badges, and forged documents.
• Recalled or unsafe products.
• Sexually explicit material.
• Hacking tools, malware, and devices for unlawful surveillance.
• Lottery tickets, gambling services and financial schemes such as pyramid schemes.

The following may be sold only where the law allows it and the seller holds every required licence and meets all conditions (such as age checks, labelling and storage). Mechji may ask for proof and may prohibit them in some countries or altogether:

• Medicines, medical devices and health products.
• Alcohol, tobacco and nicotine products.
• Food and beverages.
• Cosmetics and personal care products.
• Plants, seeds and pet products.
• Used and refurbished goods (which must be clearly described as such).

• Any illegal service, and any sexual or escort service.
• Services that require a professional licence, registration or certification (for example medical, legal, electrical, gas or structural work) unless the provider holds it and it is valid.
• Services that would require the provider to break safety rules or the customer's building or local rules.

Sellers must be able to show that branded goods are genuine, and must meet product-safety, labelling and recall requirements. We may remove listings, ask for evidence, and suspend sellers who sell counterfeit or unsafe goods. Rights owners can report infringement under the Intellectual Property Policy.

We may remove listings, cancel ongoing activity where permitted, suspend or close seller accounts, and report to authorities where required. Report a listing with "Report" or through Help & Support.

We may update this policy from time to time. Each version has a version number and an effective date, and earlier versions stay available for reference.

When a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or on the website before it takes effect and, where required, ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Mechji.
