The cookies and browser storage the Mechji website uses, and how to control them.
At a glance
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Browsers also offer "local storage", which works in a similar way. This policy covers both, for the Mechji website. The Mechji mobile apps do not use cookies; they keep your sign-in and settings on your device.
These are needed for the website to work and cannot be switched off in Mechji. You can delete them in your browser, but you will be signed out.
If you choose "Accept analytics", the website loads Google Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics), which sets its own cookies to measure how the site is used, such as pages visited and the type of device and browser. If you choose "Only necessary", Firebase Analytics is not loaded.
If you allow analytics and later withdraw permission, collection stops straight away.
Mechji does not use separate preference cookies beyond those listed as necessary, and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" in the website footer, in Settings, or on the Legal & Policies page. If you are signed in, we also record your choice with your account. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Each version has a version number and an effective date, and earlier versions stay available for reference.
When a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you in the app or on the website before it takes effect and, where required, ask you to accept the new version before you continue using Mechji.
